Nurielle's studio is located in Toronto's Historic Distillery District at Artscape Distillery.


Nurielle is a graduate of Alfred University’s prestigious MFA program in Ceramic Art (New York, USA). She has taught sculptural ceramics and moldmaking at Haliburton School for the Arts in Haliburton, ON.

kiln-rental, downtown Toronto


2 computer controlled Coneart kilns available to rent to experienced ceramicists:

Large oval kiln, $60/firing (42" x 31" wide x 27" deep)
and small 17" diameter kiln $40/firing.

$50 damage deposit required, rental opportunities subject to availability.
I reserve the right to refuse any firing which may cause damage or pose a hazard, however some unconventional firings might be fine--please feel free to ask.

Semi-private self-directed clay classes:


May 20, 2018   Sundays 1-4 pm, for 5 weeks. Wheel throwing and handbuilding, functional, sculptural or decorative.


Semi-private self-directed clay classes for adults. One-on-one learning and demos each week. Beginner to advanced.


Taught by: Nurielle Stern and Lindsay Gravelle

$340 for five classes inclusive.


Learn to work with clay and make ceramic objects you can take home and use for years to come such as cups, bowls, or decorative tiles.


Basic materials provided (clay, stains, glazes) and firings included. Non-standard materials are extra. Max 6 students. We are limited to two pottery wheels, but handbuilding demos will be provided.

Make-Up Classes

One make-up class will be provided, and we’ll do our best to accommodate everyone when choosing the date--  especially since the class is starting on the long weekend and we know many people have plans to go out of town.

Class Cancellation Policy

If anything changes, we will fully refund you up to a week (7 days) before the first class.

If you need to withdraw in the week before the class (the week of the 14th of May) or up to 5 days after the first class,  we will refund 70 % of the total.
